Mineralogical and petrographic characterization provides the fundamental understanding required to evaluate geological materials, ore deposits, industrial minerals, and engineered rock systems. At RMS, we deliver comprehensive mineralogical investigations through an integrated workflow that combines precision specimen preparation, optical petrography, ore microscopy, and advanced microanalytical techniques.

Our workflow begins with the preparation of high-quality petrographic specimens, including thin sections, polished thin sections, polished sections, and heavy mineral mounts. These specimens are subsequently examined using polarized and reflected light microscopy, followed by advanced analytical methods such as X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM/FE-SEM), Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS), and automated mineralogy when required. The integration of these complementary techniques enables accurate mineral identification, quantitative mineralogical assessment, microstructural characterization, and interpretation of geological processes, providing reliable data for mineral exploration, mining, geometallurgy, process optimization, research, and failure investigations.
