Visual Testing (VT) is the most fundamental non-destructive inspection method, involving direct or assisted visual examination of components, welds, and assemblies to identify surface irregularities, misalignments, corrosion, cracks, or other visible defects. With the use of mirrors, borescopes, magnifiers, and portable lighting, VT allows inspectors to quickly assess the condition of equipment, verify manufacturing accuracy, and detect early-stage surface issues before they evolve into critical failures.
