Dr.Parviz Davami was born on June 1, 1941, in Tehran, Iran. He is recognized as one of Iran’s most distinguished scholars and researchers in the fields of metallurgy and materials engineering. Throughout his career, he has played a major role in strengthening the connection between academia and industry in Iran.
Education
Dr.Parviz Davami received his bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the former Tehran Higher Industrial School, now known as Iran University of Science and Technology. He later continued his studies in the United Kingdom and earned his PhD in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Leeds in 1973.
Academic Career
He began his academic and research career at Sharif University of Technology in 1965 and became one of the university’s most influential and respected professors over several decades.
