The assessment includes coating thickness measurement, pencil hardness testing, cross-cut adhesion testing, and microscopic examination of coating structure and coating–substrate interfaces. These investigations are used to evaluate coating integrity, adhesion performance, surface preparation quality, application consistency, and resistance to mechanical damage.
