Emerging concepts such as the <strong>global village<\/strong>, <strong>sustainable development<\/strong>, <strong>brain drain<\/strong>, and the <strong>global exchange of knowledge<\/strong> have fundamentally reshaped the educational landscape, requiring engineering programs to adapt to evolving national and international needs.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">At the same time, countries must define their educational priorities based on their <strong>comparative advantages<\/strong>, economic objectives, and long-term national development strategies. In response to these challenges, the paper argues that Iran should carefully examine engineering education systems around the world while developing its own <strong>national model of engineering education<\/strong>, tailored to the country&#8217;s unique economic, industrial, and social conditions.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The author emphasizes that simply replicating educational models from other countries may not adequately address Iran&#8217;s specific development needs. Instead, a national engineering education model should promote sustainable development, strengthen cooperation between <strong>universities and industry<\/strong>, and ensure that both institutions achieve their educational and economic objectives.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The proposed model highlights the importance of preparing engineers with strong technical competence, professional commitment, and ethical responsibility. Engineering graduates should possess not only advanced technical knowledge but also a deep appreciation for their profession and the ability to apply technology to enhance national productivity, economic growth, and public welfare.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Despite more than six decades of economic planning and significant national advantages\u2014including abundant mineral and natural resources, a strategic geographical location, and a highly capable workforce\u2014Iran has not yet achieved the level of industrialization seen in many developed countries.
