This shift, together with the economic conditions and industrial characteristics of each country, has introduced new requirements for engineering education. Addressing these requirements requires the restructuring of engineering education institutions to better meet the current and future needs of industry.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The objective of this study was to identify the essential requirements of engineering education in relation to the needs of industry in Iran. This applied research employed a descriptive survey methodology. The study population consisted of distinguished Iranian engineers, of whom 30 experts were selected through purposive sampling. The role and importance of university\u2013industry collaboration in engineering education were first examined through document analysis. Subsequently, data obtained from semi-structured interviews with the selected experts were analyzed using qualitative coding and categorization techniques.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The findings indicate that addressing the challenges facing engineering education and industry requires continuous and effective collaboration among <strong>universities, industry, and government<\/strong>.
